• ISTT holds the 13th National Sheikh Bahai Technopreneurship Festival

This year as is customary with Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) to annually organize a national technopreneurship festival, the 13th Sheikh Bahai National Technopreneurship Festival was held from the 27th to the 28th of April, 2017at Isfahan City Center Complex.

Iran’s Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Farhadi visited a number of the festival booths dedicated to knowledge-based companies and met with their CEOs. He also addressed the festival audience during the closing ceremony where he highlighted the importance of such events to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and also the many other achievements of ISTT including its winning the bid to host the 2018 IASP world Conference in Isfahan. 

This festival which is one of the main means to realize ISTTs initial objective in the dissemination of a culture of creativity, innovation and technopreneurship, encompasses all technopreneurial fields of science including healthcare and medical sciences, fundamental sciences, technical and engineering sciences, agriculture, humanities, art, etc. It is intended to address the identification, evaluation and ranking of available investment opportunities in the technology development of Iran, and the introduction of these opportunities to investors, businessmen and women, researchers, philanthropists, entrepreneurs and all who are interested in the expansion of entrepreneurship and technopreneurship in the world.

This year the festival incorporated several programs including the presentation of Investment Opportunities, sessions dedicated to knowledge and experience sharing under the themes of “Working with Investors”, “Internationalization” and “Social Entrepreneurship”, the Introduction of New Methods and Models for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship including Universities and Investment Organizations, an introduction to New Funding Mechanisms such as Iran Fara Bourse, a session dedicated to Philanthropists interested in Supporting Entrepreneurship, the Festival Exhibition, and the Nesha program. An exhibition and training workshop was also held at the sideline of the event with the attendance of Iranian and foreign companies.

 

In general the two day festival provided a comprehensive competitive and non-competitive platform for interested parties to present their ideas and companies.
